Katie has 10 years of experience providing speech language pathology and swallowing services within the Madison, WI community and surrounding areas. Through her experience, she has cultivated a passion for ALL clients to have equitable access to quality SLP services and to achieving success, healing, and connection in their communities. In founding Romero Speech Therapy LLC, Katie aims to use evidence-based techniques, supported by research, to facilitate client access and participation in the spaces important to them.

She is licensed in the states of Wisconsin and California and holds the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). She has training and experience in evaluating and treating cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders in clients recovering from various health events and living with a variety of neurogenic conditions. Katie also has specific interest and experience in providing cross-linguistic and language matched (Spanish) multilingual services, employing community resources (such as interpreters) as necessary.
